Our mission is to:
“Protect and expand our ownership control and development of farming, forestry, property and other assets primarily within Ngāi O Tūhoe for our beneficial owners and their descendants.
By this we mean that Te Manawa O Tūhoe will:
• Maximise beneficial owners’ wealth and value while minimising costs and risks;
• Manage the Trust’s assets with integrity and to the highest ethical standards;
• Establish and apply appropriate legal and customary arrangements to protect all property held by Te Manawa O Tūhoe;
• Act in a socially responsible manner with particular emphasis on our owners and the communities we serve;
• Act in a way that is consistent with the terms of the Trust Order and other relevant legal and statutory obligations;
• Encourage owners to participate at general meetings and in the protection and security of Te Manawa O Tūhoe assets;
• Set and consistently achieve high standards of performance, accountability; and
• Build a culture and understanding of value-creation within the Trust’s activities at all levels.
